The C.H. Robinson Foundation contributes grants that directly support nonprofit organizations located in Minnesota, home of the company’s global headquarters. Through these gifts, grant recipients will make an impact in local communities in a variety of ways, including: giving children with physical, developmental, or learning disabilities access to a multi-sensory playground that meets their unique needs; providing food and shelter to individuals and families; and giving students mentoring, tools, and technology necessary to achieve academic success.
“A vital element of C.H. Robinson’s culture is giving back to the communities that have helped support our company success,” said Angie Freeman, president of the C.H. Robinson Foundation. “Over 1,700 of C.H. Robinson’s employees call Minnesota home, and we’re dedicated to supporting the organizations and causes they care deeply about.”
Since the inception of the C.H. Robinson Foundation in 2005, the company has provided over 200 grants to more than 100 nonprofit organizations. The Foundation provides funding to organizations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area that have C.H. Robinson employee involvement, and align with the Foundation’s giving priorities. These priorities include expanding educational success for at-risk youth, preventing hunger and providing food assistance, expanding and improving access to affordable housing, supporting immediate living needs for people in crisis, and focusing on areas of health.
In addition to offering charitable gifts within local communities, C.H. Robinson also sponsors an Employee Scholarship program for its employees and their children, and a Truckload Contract Carrier Scholarship program created to support the educational success of C.H. Robinson truckload contracted carriers and their children.
