A new delivery service, based in Frome is set to give local residents and businesses better access to next day deliveries.
Bath Logistics, part of the Carn Logistics group, took over the role of being the APC Overnight depot for the BA postcode earlier this month.
18 staff and 15 delivery vehicles will provide collection and delivery throughout the county, marking a significant expansion in next day courier services in Somerset.
The company has already invested over £10,000 in state of the art IT and phone infrastructure, as well as new vans, to provide the best possible service to customers. A further three new delivery vehicles will also be added to the fleet in the New Year.
Bath Logistics is part of the Carn Logistics group and was chosen by APC Overnight to cover the BA postcode area following the company’s successful management of the TR postcode in Cornwall, which has seen the South West business expand by 500 per cent in just five years whilst maintaining fantastic customer service levels and a strong record of on-time deliveries.
Alan Cooper, Managing Director of Carn Logistics, said:“Carn Logistics has been founded on the basis of providing the best possible next day delivery service for customers. 600 Cornish businesses rely on us to deliver their goods across the UK every year. We’re looking forward to providing the same exceptional levels of customer services for businesses based in the BA postcode.“
Carn Logistics was founded in 2009 and joined the UK’s largest independent next day delivery network, APC Overnight, in the same year.
