The company’s collection of accolades expands with a new commendation from Logistics Management magazine recognizing AIT’s exceptional performance as a 3PL services provider
ITASCA, ILLINOIS (August 16, 2013) – Logistics Management magazine has acknowledged AIT Worldwide Logistics’ sustained excellence in the global transportation management industry with a 2013 Quest for Quality Award.
Though this was the eighth Quest for Quality Award presented to AIT, it is the first time the supply chain solutions provider has been recognized for outstanding third party logistics (3PL) services. Seventeen companies were awarded in the 3PL category, with AIT in the top tier of the overall standings. Providers were rated in several areas including Carrier Selection and Negotiation, Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment and Transportation Distribution. AIT placed in the Top 10 for every area while claiming the highest score overall in the rankings for Logistics Information Systems.
The annual awards are the culmination of a six-month survey conducted by Peerless Research Group. More than 6,000 Logistics Management readers – logistics, transportation and supply chain decision makers – participated by voting for providers strictly on the basis of service quality.
AIT Worldwide Logistics’ President and CEO Vaughn Moore remarked, “We are honored to be named as a high quality 3PL provider by Logistics Management readers. AIT has been delivering third party logistics services for a number of years, but as business needs evolve in the new economy, our customers are approaching us more frequently to provide creative 3PL solutions.”
“What makes the Quest for Quality Awards stand out in the market is the fact that the winners are determined by the readers of Logistics Management who put these carriers and service providers to work around the clock and around the globe,” said Michael Levans, Group Editorial Director of Peerless Media, LLC., the publisher of Logistics Management. He continued, “When you consider the challenging environment in which our nation’s transportation services providers have been operating over the past 12 months, our editorial staff agrees that walking away with a Quest for Quality Award in 2013 is nothing less than a tremendous achievement.”
