On Friday, May 10, Holland Account Executive Bob Gorman was proudly inducted into the North Carolina Truck Driving School Hall of Fame. The prestigious award was given as part of a ceremony that kicked off the 74thAnnual North Carolina Truck Driving Championship in Smithfield, NC, and made Bob the 23rd inductee in its history.
The Hall of Fame was established by the North Carolina Truck Driving School(NCTDS) in 1991 “to honor and permanently recognize some of [their] graduates for their contribution, dedication, and commitment to safety.”
Bob enrolled in the North Carolina Truck Driving School in 1971 at the age of 25. He began his career as an over-the-road and local driver and filled a number of roles before becoming an Account Executive for Holland at our Raleigh, NC service center.
“This was a great honor the North Carolina Truck Driving School bestowed on me,” said Bob. “I am so proud to be in the NCTDS Hall of Fame. They gave me the opportunity to start my career in a very positive way.”
In his 15 years with Holland, Bob has stood out as a leader in service and safety. In addition to his work here, Bob is also a commissioner and city council member for Hope Mills, NC, and a USAF veteran with 5 years active service and 19 years in the reserves.
Congratulations to Bob and many thanks for his continued dedication to safety and service.
